Microsoft included FrontPage Express with their
Internet Explorer browser through version 5.1, then they stopped including it and discontinued support.
This Free web authoring software, or WYSIWYG web editor, remains very popular today.
It is very simple to use. It also includes built-in Wizards for building home pages, custom forms, survey forms and confirmation forms.
I know of one professional web designer who still uses FPXpress as his only WYSIWYG editor!
FPXpress is great software for the beginning web designer. You can learn web design and hone your skills without any cost to you.
It does a great job too. True, it does have some
minor peculiarities, but you can learn a little
bit about HTML while you
'clean up' some of the coding.
