It is not our intention to list every type of software here. We are just going to list the best and/or most popular ones in each category, which you can download for FREE in the links below.

  In case you are wondering: No, we do not make a penny from recommending any of these programs or anything else on this page. A few of these programs are trial versions of the registered version and we believe that they are the very best 'bang for the buck' software packages. Everything else is totally FREE to use forever. We have used and/or tested all of this software ourselves and believe that they are well worth using.

Webmaster Tools - Special Edition

  Our Webmaster Tools Black Label Edition III (1.3 MB) is the 'Special' 6star edition of this software. It will automatically create JavaScript code for you to do all of those really cool things that you thought you could never do. Just select what you want to do, then fill in the blanks - this program will automatically create the copy and paste JavaScript code for you. More info

  You may give this software away for free, we have no intention of ever charging for it. We have provided this 'Webmaster Tools' software solely for the purpose of helping you create a better web site. Also, the 'Quick Scripts' menu option in this program contains 35 misc. scripts too numerous to put in the main menu, so make sure to check out the 'Quick Scripts' section.

WS FTP Pro (4.4 MB) will allow you to upload your web site files to the web server. This is the 'Full Featured' 30 day trial version.

WS FTP LE (0.7 MB) is the Free Lite version of WS FTP Pro which never expires.

Fetch (1.3 MB) FTP program for the Mac computer. This is the 'Full Featured' trial version.

Important FrontPage Note: If you automatically publish your web site using FrontPage, you should NEVER use any other FTP program to upload your files. FrontPage will NOT publish your web site correctly after you use any other program to upload your files.

Animation Shop (11.5 MB) is the complete solution for GIF animation on the Web. Whether used as a standalone application or as a complement to Paint Shop Pro, Animation Shop gives you the ability to easily create buttons, banners, and other animated GIF files. This is the 30 day trial version.

Cool 3D (15.5 MB) will create great 3D effects. Just click on various things to modify the 3D image. It will create both static and animated 3D graphics for your web site real quick and easy and export them into various file formats. This is a trial version which will expire in 15 days.  If you are planning to create some great graphics, this is a 'must have' tool.

Web Draw (16.1 MB) is the complete solution for creating SVG graphics and animation. A complete SVG authoring solution, WebDraw delivers a robust set of graphics design and source code editing tools for faster, more flexible SVG design and development. This is the 30 day trial version.

Art-o-Matic (4.1 MB) will automatically draw 3D cartoons, paintings, line drawings, technical illustrations, photo and other styles. This program requires that the Microsoft DirectX version 7 or later is installed on your computer to use it. You can download DirectX 8.0a (11.2 MB) here.

Stream Anywhere (7.4 MB) Stream Anywhere LE will create Full streaming video and audio files for your web site in both RealPlayer and Windows Media Player format. It will create the HTML code for you and also will integrate with FrontPage as a plugin. It can convert WAV, AIF, MP3 audio files and AVI, MOV, MPEG-1 video files. Install Creator (2.3 MB) is an installation program which creates self installing files and does other various things. It's free and you have unlimited rights to create automatic installers for both commercial and private use.

Patch Maker (0.5 MB) will create automatically installing patches to your program files. Ideal for using a small sized update file to upgrade your software to newer versions. It's the free companion to the 'Install Creator' above.

Shalom Help Maker (0.8 MB) is a very fast and easy way to create professional looking help files without any 'learning curve'. The compiler will create the finished product for you to upload.

Putty (0.7 MB) is the Telnet program I use. If you are an advanced user and need a good Telnet program to access your web site or dedicated server, download this program.

Cnet (1.1 MB) is another Telnet program to access your web site or dedicated server.

WinZip (1.8 MB) is an absolute requirement for any workstation.  It will allow you to extract files from any archive format and of course create archived files.  A must have piece of software.  This is the trial version which never really expires.

ZipCentral (51 KB) is an archive utility like WinZip, sort of a Lite version of WinZip.

Stuffit (5.5 MB) is the Mac computer archive program similar to the WinZip program for the PC.

Eudora (6.3 MB) Email Reader Program for Windows. It allows you to access your email via POP3 instead of using a web browser. Our servers support both POP3 and Browser based access to your email accounts.

Note: If you have Internet Explorer installed, the Outlook Express email reader will probably already be installed on your computer.

RealPlayer 8.0 (4.9 MB) RealPlayer version 8.0 Basic (the Free version) without any bells and whistles like the Jukebox. Give this to your visitors if you use the RealPlayer compiler to create your audio and/or video streaming files.

ICQ Instant Messager (3.9 MB) will allow you to send instant messages, page other users and do online chats. This is the first and most universal one. Some instant messagers like AOL are only compatible with AOL users and nothing else. This will work with every ISP service.

Boogie Jack's Web Depot is a webmasters resource site with an excellent online tutorial which covers web site design from the ground up. Web Monkey is an extensive Free 'how to' guide which will give you the programming details on how to do all of the basic things you will need. Everything is categorized for quick access to the information you are looking to find. If you need to know how to do something, this site will probably have all the info you need in an easy to find list.

Really Big is the biggest resource I've found on the Internet.  It has anything and everything related to building a web site from copy and paste scripts to animated gif files. They have a very good collection of web building tools and graphics. They also have links to various free online tutorials.
